A 54-year-old female asked:

I have some light heart problems: palpitation, heart flutters, chest pain, an enlarged aorta (not to the dangerous level). can intermittent fasting (i want to do it when i don't feel hungry and probably once or twice a week) harm my heart?

You have a number of abnormalities that warrant a cardiac evaluation as soon as you can arrange for it. Heart irregularity, a dilated aorta and chest pain require a detailed history and further evaluation. You have not provided an adequate history including a family history . Did you ever have any chest pain. Anybody in the family with aortic disease or Marian’s syndrome? Get yourself evaluated!
