Atrial bigeminy, an atrial premature beat after each normal beat, is a sign of atrial irritability which does predispose you to bouts of supraventricular tachycardia. I have seen patients with atrial bigeminy who never had such attacks, however. In my experience people with enlarged atria, from valvular heart disease or long-standing hypertension, for example, are more prone to SVT or a fib.
