Control of elevated blood pressure is necessary in pregnancy, and is controlled by use of methyl dopa which is contained in "hypotone". Fatigue and swelling in extremities is common even without increased blood pressure at "31 weeks". Sometimes a consult with a maternal-fetal medicine expert can help ensure appropriate management of hypertension in pregnancy.

It is very normal to have swollen feet and legs when you are pregnant, but it is something that may affect you long after pregnancy. As the baby grows, it compresses the veins in your abdoment, preventing proper return of blood to your heart. So the blood ends up pooling/settling in your lower extremities. This may cause permanent damage/distension of the veins in the future
