That is reasonable. You would need to contact a mental health prescriber and they may want to do some limited testing to confirm your diagnosis. as stimulant medication such as adderall (mixed amphetamine salt) is a controlled substance you would need to work with someone who as evaluated you face to face.

CAVEAT: it maybe true that ADHD is culprit, but at age 43, would be well to rule out disorders which could compromise cognition. Have your primary care doctor do a complete physical with blood studies to exclude medical causes. Certainly at same time, get emotional evaluation.
