Paxil (paroxetine) & aggression?: Ssri antidepressants generally calm aggression rather than increasing it. A small percentage of patients (3-5%) may experience agitation on the medication. There have been legal arguments about the "agitation" manifesting as aggression. On the other hand, depression itself may cause irritability and angry outbursts.
