A member asked:

Can the common cold (sneezing, stuffy nose, headache, fatigue) cause acid reflux to worsen in people with a history of acid reflux? and can a cold also mess with your stomach in terms of making you slightly nauseous and not that hungry?

Coughing and sneezing can both increase the pressure pushing up against esophagus and allow more acidic liquids to enter the esophagus. So, this could cause an increase in GERD symptoms.
