A member asked:

Doctor storing std urine sample in refridger at his clinic from saturday-tuesday till being send to the lab affect the results? causing false negtive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: If he puts it in a certain container that prevents further growth of bacteria, it would be accurate. If not, it's more likely to be falsely positive since small amounts of bacteria contaminants could grow to the amount of colonize that constitute a UTI.
