The best thing to do is to see a dietician or nutritionist. The diabetic should try to limit carbohydrates-if you look at food labels, 1 carb serving is 15 grams. A nutritionist will be able to advise on how many carb servings per day the person should have. Checking blood sugars often will help determine what foods cause the biggest increases in blood sugars. Avoid low blood sugars as well.
