There is a simple basic rule that exercise or workouts in the morning help set the metabolic activity pattern for the day ahead. Getting into such a habit makes adhering to it much easier than trying to do so later in the day or evening after a tiring day.

Any exercise is better than no exercise. It would be better to start your day with 30 minutes of aerobic exercise of sufficient intensity to induce sweating.
