Is methadone bad for people in the long run?

If methadone is abused, it is bad even in the short run. Methadone has approved use in helping with opiate addiction when used under the supervision of a doctor. Street use of methadone is bad, in short and long run. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Typically, it is a valuable tool to stabilize those who have become addicted to narcotics. It has been employed safely, under a doctor's supervision in many for several years. If abused, it is bad, but if used properly, it can be a long-term solution.
