You need to call the doctor who ordered the tests to find out if you have diabetes. If a fasting blood sugar is greater than/= to 126 or if your hemoglobin A1c is greater than/= to 6.5, then the diagnosis of diabetes is made. You would likely have type 2 diabetes and, depending on how high your blood sugars are, you may be able to control it with diet and exercise. Good luck to you!
