The post does not provide important detail, gender? A significant number of girl babies will show mucous or even bloody discharge starting as early as day 3 to day 7 or so. It is considered a mini-menses as their baby uterus sheds material built by mothers pregnancy hormones. It is normal.

I'm assuming you had a girl. Her uterus has been exposed to high levels of female hormones during your pregnancy. Now suddenly these hormones are not there. This can cause the uterus to secrete mucous and/or blood, almost like a mini first period. Absolutely nothing to worry about, clears up in about 2 weeks. Congratulations!
