Hydroceles: Typically hydroceles will come and go with time. The pain is from swelling or stretching the scar tissue as it absorbs fluids. It the pain is unbearable or persistent then these cysts are surgically removed. A urologist would do that for you. I know several here in seattle, but unfortunately do not have much knowledge closer to your home.

Hydrocelectomy: Surgery is most efficient & reliable way to get rid of a large hydrocele. Needle aspiration should not be used because of risk of introducing infection & virtual guarantee it will recur because you havn't removed tissus producing hydrocele fluid. Instill sclerosant is very fainful & usually not effective & reserved for the very old & feeble who might not survive anesthesia, please see a urologist.

No,....: The dimension of a hydrocele may fluctuate to a degree over time, but usually getting bigger at various pace over time. There has been no known means to reduce it.
