For husband, former pro athlete, cardio said ekg is showing that the cells that sets the pace for his heart is not coming from the normal area. they also said it could be autonomic dysfunction. hes on 2 week monitor but i want reassurance now?

Now, it is a difficult time, as not fully clear what monitor will show. Trust you have excellent cardiologists working on this, and in my career, have seen amazingly successful outcomes once the problem is revealed. Try to be patient, and I hope all turns out well.
