My doctor prescribed robaxin for scapulathorasic disorder until i see an orthopedic doctor next month. it took the tension away but the burning sensation across the top of my back is horrible. what is this from??

I find that muscle relaxants such as Robaxin are often not helpful. Much more information is needed to address your concern. I would suggest that an examination should be done on your neck. I have seen many patients with upper back burning with cervical disc disease compressing the spinal cord. There are many other reasons for your condition so a doctor seeing you in person be able to help you.

This can likely come from your neck. Other option is scapulthoracic bursitis as well. The orthopedic doctor will be able to help figure it out.
