A member asked:

I just found out that my iga level is at a 10, when it should be between 70-400. even my own doctor mentioned this is uncommon (how low it is). my igg test came back fine. i guess i want to know of possible reasons for this, to "put my mind at ease"?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IGA deficiency is one of the most common immune deficiency. If everything else is normal then it should not cause any significant problem. I am concerned why this is ordered? If I GM level is high then you should be evaluated. Best of luck. Hope it helps.
