If the pregnancy is confirmed at "5w" , the HCG readings obtained are high for that gestational age of pregnancy, and may represent a molar pregnancy, so a pelvic ultrasound is appropriate. Your gyn physician may order an ultrasound and proceed therefrom to other treatments if necessary.
