A member asked:

What determines a babys eye color ? so far 1/2 dozen grandbabies none my eye color will none ever have my eye color since both my kids have blue eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

missing data: you ask about your eye color but did not mention what it is. Brown is a dominant trait which means it requires only one of two genes to be present. Brown eyed persons can carry one recessive blue and pass it to offspring. Blue is a recessive trait so both parents must pass it to them. If your blue eyed kids have blue eyed spouses, all their kids will have blue eyes.
