I have been feeling immensely tensed and have headaches and been crying alot. under alot of home and as well as work stress. is this perhaps some sort of anxiety?

Sounds like depression mixed with anxiety. Fairly common. Cannot take care of the underlying issues with just a pill, but there are medications specifically designed to help this. Check with your doctor

Start with your GP for an assessment for medical causes and as needed workup. Adjustment disorder appears likely with mixed depression and anxiety features and among many others.
