A member asked:

I have nmo and i want to know if i can get laser lipo? i ask my doctor she doesn't know. i take rituxan four times a year and basically have no other issues in between that time?

You are being treated, appropriately, with rituxan for your NMO, and hopefully, this is preventing relapses and disability. However, your medication could be relatively immunosuppressive, which might create concerns if an infection were to be a complication of liposuction procedure. No absolute contraindication, but this needs to be discussed by a bariatric surgeon and your neurologist.
