A member asked:

If i had chlamydia 3 months before i got pregnant, (got pregnant not knowing i had the infection), and found out 5 months after being pregnant that i do have chlamydia, got treated for it, is it a chance i might have pid while pregnant?

Pregnancy usually prevents PID -- by blocking the uterus, bacteria like chlamydia cannot ascend into the Fallopian tubes. If you have no or mild symptoms and have been treated, this should not be a problem for your pregnancy. Check with your obstetrician if any continuing concerns or questions.
