You should see your pediatrician now if you think you have symptoms compatible with diabetes. The diagnosis is made relatively easy and may include blood work and urine studies, the advantage of seeing your doc is the fact that in case you do not have diabetes, a plan B will be automatically in place to diagnose and treat correctly your symptoms.

Get a glucose meter. If your fasting glucose is more than 126 mg/dL (7 mmol.L) you have diabetes. Symptoms include urinating more, larger appetite, yeast infections. Although these symptoms can be the result of several other conditions
