Yes, his pediatrician and school should be informed as he will need to remain in quarantine. His pediatrician or GP will be able to further advise regarding testing and proper follow up.

Wear a mask, stay away from others, practice hand hygiene. If you develop breathing difficulty, go to the nearest hospital, immediately. Get Covid vaccine. Wish you good health.
