Snoring?: If you sleep with someone else, ask them if you have recently begun snoring at night? If so, that may make you feel like you're choking. Also, have you gained weight lately? That may also be a factor. Lastly, you may be getting sick, and/or have a sub-clinical infection only manifesting at night in the form of a sore throat.
