Would a glass of wine 36 hours prior, have an effect on syphilis test? would it cause false negative? read not to drink alcohol within 24 hours and could cause false negative?

No: It would not alter any such test. Most tests have a known frequency of both false positives & false negatives that are specific to the test used, which you did not mention. I would share any concerns about testing with your doc.
