A member asked:

My daughter expelled live pinworms in her stool around 930 at night, which is late for her. would this be a sign she has had them for a long time or were the females simply near the anus ready to lay eggs? a timeline can help me inform the right ppl?

Not a sign of timing: I would recommend you contact her doctor for treatment. We can’t treat through this part of the platform. Your doctor can likely prescribe medication via a phone or telemedicine visit. Pinworms generally come out at night. Also, the doctor will want to make sure they are pinworms as opposed to another type of worm. Pinworms look like very tiny thread-like worms.
