Bone marrow edema on coccyx. what does it means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below:: It generally means injury to or an infective lesion in the coccyx. It is seen on mri. If you have had a fall onto butt, or involved in an accident, with pain in the tailbone, would indicate a fracture of the coccyx. Otherwise an infection can produce similar picture, but symptoms would include pain, fever, tenderness locally.
