A 33-year-old member asked:

what does subcortical bone marrow edema in the foot mean?

Bark: Cortex is latin for "bark" so cortical is the bark or outer layer of the bone. Subcortical edema is swelling below the cortex. It usually is indicative of a bone that has been bent but not broken.

Loss : Loss of automatic reflexes are usually associated with spinal cord injuries and/or severe peripheral nerve fiber loss. The fact that you have no reflex reactions is puzzlesome, and you might actually have them and not know it.

Blisters under: Toenails are quite common in sports participants. If you're able to drain it, apply a topical antibiotic and wrap it in a band aid, that's about the best you can do short term. You might want to check on the size of the soccer boots. If too small, they can be making things worse. Also, i hope the coach/trainer has them wearing running shoes for the pure running workouts.

She might try wearing two pair of socks on each foot and see if that helps. This was something I was taught back in high school by my coach and it worked for me. ( to prevent the blisters, not treat them.)

A 28-year-old male asked:

My wife has a boil behind her back. Sometimes, the boil will swell and contained pus. We think egg consumtion caused this. Is it possible?

No: A boil is an infection from an organism on the skin. There are also glands that can become occluded and these sebaceous glands will drain a malodorous thick material but they are not always infected. See your doctor for treatment but not related to eggs.

My right ankle is a little pain after running for 30 minutes. Should I stop running for a while?

Maybe...: We suggest rest, ice, elevation, compression and NSAID of choice. You don't necessarily have to stop, but you may need to back off some. If it worsens, you may have to stop and get it checked out.
