A member asked:

If you can't take opioids for pain, what should be give ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: On the origin of the pain. Tramadol, or ibuprofen, tylenol (acetaminophen) and Aspirin are all that can work especially if you use ice of heat-- again depending on the origins and type of pain. Nerve compression pain responds well (better) to Gabapentin than to opiates.
