Definition: A CONCUSSION, by definition is an acute brain injury due to closed head trauma, causing loss of consciousness, amnesia, or a combination of both. Uncomplicated post-concussional issues should resolve within a 4-6 week period. Post-traumatic headaches, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury are additional complexities that may be associated, however.
