Varies : It varies tremendously, in part also because the term whiplash covers so many possible injuries. Simple muscular injuries can often respond by 2-4 weeks after injury; injuries to the posterior facets can takes months of even cause chronic pain in some cases. I would not hesitate to be seen and evaluated for your injury.
