Yes...: You may have a kidney stone that is beginning to block the ureter of the right kidney. This can lead to a serious kidney infection. So, if seeing the NP gets you in the office faster, then do that! The NP will alert the doctor so that you get treated ASAP. If your symptoms worsen, go to an emergency room.
