I have been running a body temperature in the 97's. is this something i should be concerned about?

Depends how: You are taking it. If this is true core temperature, it might be a bit low. If you are taking it oral or axillary, these determinations tend to be one degree lower than core temp. If you are doing ok otherwise, no real concern here.
