I have been very tired during the day recently and am having trouble sleeping more then 6-7 hours a day nothing has changed recently what are the most likely causes i am 21 and about 300 pounds?

Hard to be sure: At that weight you are have a higher risk of sleep apnea, which is a commonly underdiagnosed condition. The sleep you do get may not enter the deeper stages needed for restorative sleep. I suggest you write down all the issues you have with any time frame you can remember. Take the list to your doc & get a checkup. Ask specifically if you need a sleep study.

At age 21, stresses could be: •Relationships •Separation/Breakups •Unresolved conflicts with parents and friends •Finances •School/Work Alcohol and Drug use can make Depression worse.
