Your question: What effects? Your question cannot be answered without a comprehensive Orthodontic Examination. Assuming that your treatment was provided by a qualified Orthodontist, that individual has all of your pre-treatment studies and is the best person to answer your question. Or see a different Orthodontist for second opinion, or a Dental School Orthodontic Department.

Orthodontics: Palatal expander was used to separate the bones in your maxilla before they fused. At your age the bones have grown and fused so no movement is possible. Extracting healthy teeth will not change the width of your palate. Please seek a consultation with a local orthodontist to discuss further treatment to change your bite or appearance.
