A member asked:

How much successful tkr is? can a person do routine activities without pain? (only walking expected, no sports, jogging etc)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very Successful: 95% of tkr patients have a good to excellent result. 95% of patients 55 years old and older have good results that last 30 years. Younger and more active patients create concerns for early failure of the tkr. Walking is acceptable for tkr. High impact activities should be reduced. With your condition and age, there should be other options discussed before tkr.
