Febrile illness can suppress appetite. Make sure that your child gets enough fluids, water, fruit juice, electrolyte drink etc, so that the child passes urine at least every 6 hour. It would be prudent to seek treatment of fever.

If the duration is more than 48 hours, or if he appears I'll, please see your Pediatrician. I agree that fluids should be encouraged. Watch for as signs of cough and lethargy.
