Healing: This type of ankle fracture is a progression of a severe twisting injury to the ankle. It appears that you have had an MRI and every ankle MRI will show ligament injury. These will heal but will also be present on an MRI for a very long time. Clinical healing of a fracture happens sooner then MRI findings show healing. All fractures need 6 weeks at least for solid healing and union.
