You mean: Vocal cord dysfunction? First you need to see a lung specialist who should r/o you have allergies, post nasal drip, acid reflux disease (gerd). Indeed one has to try to find the reasons you have it. Stress can induce it too. A pulmonary function test should be done too of course.
