Vocal cord dys.: This is also called paradoxical vocal fold motion abnormality. It often is treated with speech/voice therapy. Another co-factor to treat with this problem can be LPR-laryngopharyngeal reflux. Acid/stomach enzymes can get into the esophagus and larynx triggering throat tightness, throat clearing and VCD. This can be treated with dietary measures and reflux medications, as well. See ENT to check.
