A member asked:

Are folliculitis and genital warts similar in appearance? how would folliculitis be diagnosed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No : Folliculitis = pimples - single or groups of pimples. Pus head with 1/4-1/2” of surrounding redness. Warm, perhaps tender. Warts = heaped up tissue - again, single or groups but NO pus head, not red, warm or tender. Folliculitis comes and goes in 5-10 days (but then comes back). Warts remain until removed Check with your doctor
