No: It is not. Augmentin/ amoxicillin better.

Its a good choice: for adults and is dosed at 100mg by mouth every 12 hours.

Not particularly: Usual dose 100 mg q12 Hrs. Anti=against, bio=life; all antibiotics are poisons, selected single molecules that (hopefully) don't bother our cells much, yet suppress/kill growth of unwanted cells in locations which create trouble for us after primary immune system not doing its job well. Azithromycin, up to 2,000 mg day 1, single dose, usually more effective, yet always depends on what's going on.
