Full bladder ?'s: A full bladder when asleep absent constant pain the the same anatomic area will present a symptom which usually stimulates wakefulness , but with perineal trauma (3rd degree vaginal laceration, difficult delivery, etc.) accommodation to pain overrides the stimulus of a full bladder and may not cause wakefulness. The warning will recur when the trauma from delivery subsides.
