Probably not: Over-distension of the bladder can cause some weakness in the bladder muscle wall, and lead to difficulty contracting and emptying the bladder. However, a one-time episode is unlikely to cause permanent issues. You can easily get this checked out by seeing a urologist or a gynecologist and having them do a "post void bladder scan" to see if you are able to empty completely. Good luck!

Baby & Balloon: Your baby, if delivered vaginally, "irritated" the nerves that run to the bladder(balloon) when passing through the vagina and under the bladder. Your OB MD may refer you to a Urologist if this continues to assess any "damage" if present. Most times this resolves on its own volition.
