A member asked:

When i was 12, due to injury, i got gynaecomastia on my one breast. now i'm 17 . still i'm having gynaecomastia at one breast. what should i do? will it go away after puberty or surgery required?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some thoughts: Gynecomastia resulting from or maintained during pubertal changes would likely fade within 3 yrs. Persistence after that point may require surgery. I have read that some docs have successfully treated this with with a drug called tamoxifen.I would consult with a surgeon who specializes in breast surgury at this point.
