Can be genetic: There are several described hereditary patterns for Alzheimer's, but these are relatively uncommon. Even if a familial history is present, the eventual expression could be blunted by "incomplete penetrance". If you believe you have some memory or cognitive issues, you could visit a neuropsychologist for screening, and neurologist if appropriate.
