A member asked:

Can an infant become conscious on their own after losing consciousness (without cpr) once oxygen is made re available? or is cpr always required to regain their consciousness?

Odd question: How do you define losing consciousness? An infant who is breathing normally with a strong heartbeat can and will nod off occasionally & alert when their nap is over. If they are not breathing the heartbeat slows & stops & they die without intervention. If they alert after a quiet period they were still breathing although it may have been slower & shallower than usual.
