A member asked:

I noticed these tiny bumps on the floor of my mouth. i would say they are flesh colored and painless. what are they? should i be concerned? they are about the size of a pinhead. there are about 6 of them all spread out behind my lower back teeth?

Salivary ducts: You may be referring to your sublingual salivary ducts. Ask your dentist the next time you go in for a visit.

Torus: If the growth is hard and not painful and located on side of the jaw not on floor of mouth, then it might be Torus Madibularis and needs no treatment at this time . If the growth is fluctuent and located on floor of mouth then it is a matter of concern and needs radiograph evaluation and intr oral check up by your Dentist to rule out any infection .
