Anal bump: The anal area doesn't swell unless there's an inflamed ingrown hair, cyst or a perianal abcess. Since you're experiencing both swelling and soreness, I recommend an examination by a proctologist or colorectal surgeon. In the meantime apply warm water applications to the anal area.
