Is it okay to take ppi and betaine hcl at the same time? i've been taking ppi for two month b/c of gerd and taking betaine hcl while i am having a meal. i am not sure if i can continue to take them both for a long time. also i have a mild gastritis?

Betatine : Betatine is thought to raise stomach acid , while a ppi is used to lower stomach acid. So, they do the opposite. Gastritis is often treated with ppi to allow the lining to heal by lowering the acidity. A good question is why do you have gastritis. I will venture to guess you may be taking other supplements prior to this irritating your stomach. See your doctor.
